Karl Roulston

Karl Roulston is a senior systems engineer with over 25 years’ of experience. He is specialized in surveillance and automation systems, and system engineering management support.  Mr. Roulston is a partner and cofounder of Regulus Group, LLC, which is headquartered in Woodstock, Virginia.

Mr. Roulston is the systems engineering lead on the Airport Surveillance Radar-11 Program. He supports the Air Traffic Organization Terminal (ATO-T) surveillance manager responsible for systems engineering support across all terminal surveillance products.

He has unique background and experience within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Mr. Roulston supported the development and procurement of surveillance systems while working at FAA headquarters, and while also working in the regional office; providing hands on installation, alignment, testing, optimization, and integration support for surveillance systems into the U.S. National Airspace System. These experiences enable him to provide real world application and integration expertise during the entire product life cycle.
His background and practical experience have allowed him to provide technical support on several FAA programs, and he has been selected as the systems engineering lead for major systems acquisitions within the FAA.

Mr. Roulston is the primary point of contact for a FAA contract that employs 25 people supporting five different programs within ATO-T. He is responsible for coordinating and managing the work being performed on this effort, as well as the reporting of accomplishments and identification of any problems and recommendations for solutions to the contracting officer.

He attended California State University Fresno where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He has a Master in Business Administration from Benedictine University.
